Preliminary Results Some demographics for the families in our study:
Preliminary Results:
* change is clinically significant and statistically significant. All Child Behavior Checklist scores moved from the clinical range into the normal range. (The CBCL scores are T-scores. 50=average and 5 is the standard deviation, so that any score over 60 is clinically significant as that places the child at or above the 95th percentile.)
All cases closed in the last year received the follow-up questionnaires and over 97% returned the questionnaires (34 of 35). All clients received Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, an attachment-based therapy on an outpatient basis. The paper has been submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed professional journal this summer. We recently sent questionnaires to a control group consisting of families we evaluated. The results of this study showed that alternative forms of treatment are not effective for such children. Click here to see some of this data. For more details about the study and results click here.
